Boarding Services
Rock-N-Oaks provides premier services to our clients and their owners.
The optimum health and welfare of each horse is our goal.
Cleanliness and orderliness are standard. Services include:
Horse Health Requirements
Specific health requirements are enforced to ensure horses are safe and potential parasites and viral and bacterial diseases are greatly reduced.
Scheduled barn calls for multiple clients are made by Keith Huffman, DVM, Retama Equine Hospital, for owner convenience and reduced expense.

Lesson Services
Lessons are available for various ages and experience levels on a horse provided by Rock-N-Oaks. Most lessons are 1 hour.
A horse (health requirements met) may also be trailered in for lesson use.
Susan Pooley, Pooley Quarter Horses, provides instruction that includes ground handling, grooming, tacking, riding, and post-ride care. To ensure students receive the most benefit from their lessons, we encourage parents to wait until their children are 7-8 years old before introducing them to horseback riding. It is tiring for small arms to hold reins properly for a long period and it is difficult for horses to feel kicks from legs that do not reach below the saddle pad.
Susan Pooley also offers training for horses of all ages in various disciplines. Her fees include professional training and board.
